About Vision and Eye Health

About Us

The National Resource Center for Vision and Eye Health is hosted by the National Association of Chronic Disease Directors (NACDD) as part of a cooperative agreement with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s (CDC) Vision Health Initiative (VHI). The purpose of this Resource Center is to build the capacity of public health agencies and their partners to:

  • build awareness of vision and eye health as a public health;
  • promote vision and eye health as a public health priority; and
  • identify and implement evidence-informed and promising approaches to enhance vision and eye health.
